Restaurant Alte Post in Kuchen

5 stars for this really successful, positive surprise. We have already ordered several times from various restaurants in the area, but today everything was exceeded. The food was very tasty, it was packaged sustainably (paper, cardboard and lunch boxes) and despite the 12-minute drive, the food on the table was still warm. We are thrilled and can really recommend the "Alte Post" 😊

When you see how disgusting Ludwig Heer presents himself in various trash formats on RTL, then you don't really want to support this restaurant. A shame for the whole family.

The old post office has a reputation like Donnerhall! "If you want to eat well, go to this place." Now when I visited I was anything but enthusiastic. I only speak of my visit, a different choice of food, time or day of the week can change everything. The prices for the meals are in the upper range. My roast beef was really bad. Tough and sinewy. Difficult to cut and even harder to chew. The side dishes were ok. The service was attentive but not intrusive. All regulations on the corona pandemic were meticulously complied with. Again something like the onion roast doesn't happen to me. I will try again because I can not imagine that unsuccessful food preparation is common. Then the place would not be so popular.

The kitchen closes at 2 p.m. and we wanted to eat at 1.20 p.m. The statement on the phone was that it would no longer be enough. Bad joke or ??? (Especially since we were into cakes)

Cozy atmosphere and very tasty, home-style cuisine. I don't know how they do it, but the salad tastes incredibly good ... even though it's just salad :)

Very good as always 👍 The salad at the beginning with very good marinades, tasty. We had veal liver, beef steak, and pork medallions. Everything is well seasoned, tender, very good sauces. We'll be back soon.

Eaten there for the second time today and again not disappointed. For me there was veal schnitzel with a spicy sauce and for my wife there was Thai curry. My wife's wish for vegan preparation was fulfilled without hesitation and we were both able to enjoy our dishes. The staff was technically up-to-date and always friendly and also ready for a little chat. The restaurant itself is worth a visit just because of the layout. The corona rules are met there. Gladly again.

Good home cooking !! Large small and medium sized Pirtions selection !! For some it may seem expensive but if you look at seasonal and regional fresh !!! Has its price and of course much more taste! Top service !!

Food was very good, unfortunately the ice cream was forgotten .... Service was despite full house always accessible and courteous ..... Toilets are clean and modern .... Interior is nice .... Inside is the guest room partitioned with partitions and thus when it gets crowded not too loud .... I'll be back!

The best Restaurant in the area of Geislingen an der Steige and one of the best in all Germany ! Warm and very high quality and special food. Excellent service and very welcome team. Very fare prices and we will come back soon !

My favorite Schwabian restaurant. The chef is very famous and makes his own hand made chocolates. The Zwiebelrostbraten is a restaurant favorite. They also have great white asparagus this (spring) season.

Very historic, clean & comfortable, very good food.

I had my first dinner in this Restaurant and the ambience is so rustic and eccentric. It is a very vintage themed restaurent with a long history dating back to 1800's. This long established place is cozy for a lovely evening and also for a hungry mouth watering and tantalizing meal. The food is worth relishing. Loved the sptzle and steak.
